ABOUT MARY CATE

Mary Cate is nearing middle age and seriously considering Botox. Having spent a decade in the Arts, she now works as a freelance journalist for some of Ireland’s top glossy publications. In a previous life, she was the girl who let her Dad do her makeup on her wedding day on a space-hopper in the dark. These days, she’s more likely to be seen applying her own makeup on the Luas or on Dublin bus.

A raging feminist, Mary Cate loves to wax lyrical on women’s issues and enjoys a healthy philosophical debate. A particular highlight of her career was interviewing the world’s leading feminist Gloria Steinem for her personal blog. She writes two monthly cultural articles for Irish Tatler magazine. The Hot Ten is the definitive list of what to do, see, read, watch and wear for the upcoming month. It features theatre, concerts, TV, books and cultural and sartorial recommendations. The Notebook is a two page business spread with a featured business woman as well as a look suitable for the office, app recommendations and news stories.

Mary Cate has also contributed to Irish Country Magazine, Flydoscope, The JournalStellar and U magazine. Her most recent work as a stylist was featured in the New York based Ellements magazine, followed by over 135,000 people on Instagram.
